Did anyone in US had a replacement COSC certificate issued? If so, whats the cost for it and turnaround time? My brother sold one of his Breitling watches a little over a year ago on craigslist, and just realized that he accidently switched the papers from his other Breitling watch. Of course he can't get in touch with the buyer now, and the guy never called him about it. Now he is trying to sell his other one and wanted to get a COSC certificate to get more money for the watch. I just called Breitling USA, and was told to go authorized Breitling dealer, and have them request one.

This is the correct process. I went this route with a local AD and the cost was $75. Took about a week for turnaround.

Great. When did you do it? I just had them check out my watch, get my contact info and the serial number, and was told that they will call me back tomorrow with a exact price. The guy mentioned $120 but he said he wasn't 100% sure so I'm hopping it will be a little less.
Thanks for your response.

Dear Members,

I am in the process or at least Breitling UK are of replacing the movement in my 2005 Titanium Seawolf after it has being returned to them for the third time after a number of issues please see post
Accuracy of Seawolf after service.

Anyhow my question is regarding the COSC Certificate I have with the original paperwork will this cover the new movement or will Breitling issue a new certificate as I assume the movement will have a different number

your views and comments please

Kind regards

Walter

You'll have to check with them. Technically the COSC is for the movement so should be replaced, however if it is then the COSC will have a different serial number from the watch which may be problematic if you sell. My guess is that they won't issue a new one, but definitely worth asking the guys in Tunbridge Wells.

I just went through the process about 4 months ago. Worked seamlessly.

Dear All,

Please see below as ever views and comments reply from Breitling

Dear Mr Wharton,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Please be advised your current Attestation certificate will not become invalid when the movement is changed in your Breitling Avenger Seawolf. The serial/montre number on the back of your watch will be retained continuing to correspond with your Attestation certificate.

Regarding your UTC – As this watch is not a Chronometer certified watch an Attestation certificate is not obtainable for this model.

Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards

So I just got a phone call from my local AD, and they told me that it costs $150 for the COSC replacement, and a 6 week waiting period.

Hey guys, just wanted to make an update that after complaining to the manager at local AD, I was able to order COSC certificate for $75 instead of $150 that they originally quoted me for.
