No vintage B for the Gallery today, but some of you might enjoy this ?

You might have noticed that I do like some of the bold 1970s designs quite a bit, so the Longines 8229 has been on my radar for a very long time - quite rare, especially the orange bezel version.

Great design, an iconic movement & I just love that ratcheting bezel.

+1, that's terrific. I've never seen a Longines anything like that.

Gorgeous watch! Looks like a nice dome crystal on it? Any side view Fred?

Really great pics as always! And if you take these pics with the iphone also, maybe you can do a detailed tutorial (like how to avoid reflection of the hand holding the phone on the watch crystal) & the mods can make it a sticky in this forum? :D

here are some side views; I'll do a small writeup about iPics next week, no big secrets besides a good camera app (camera+), decent light and a little work on good crops and some contrast/shadow correction, especially for black dials (use picasa on the desktop and iPhoto on iOS),

I love the "dial work" of vintage 70's timepieces, and the use of bold colors..ie, Monti Carlo dials of the Tudor Heritage chrono.
