I recently bought a D13047 " serie limitee" , but I am not sure how real it is. It feels right, it looks right, but upon removing the gold bezel to put on my B 13050 I noticed that the bezel was not solid gold but like a thick gold cap ontop of base metal, it does however have the small b with a circle round it at the side of the bezel. It's a least 1-2 mm thick cap of gold. I have been looking for a similar watch on line to no avail. It has a black sunburst dial, a B on the second hand and the 1884 under the wings, which to me means it is probably the first model when they changed. (1993) Does anyone know about this model and if it rings true or not.
Any help with this would be gratefully received as I am not sure if I have been ripped off or not.
I will try and upload some photos to help anyone who thinks they may know something.
Yours hopefully
Yamyam
:D

If it looks right it probably is right as the fakes from this era are not very good. Post a pic and we can confirm for sure though. The part gold versions are only plated so that would explain why it is not solid gold.

:real:

Dial is from a 13048 so probably made during the changeover from 13047 to 13048 in 1993.

Logo on chrono seconds hand looks broken.
