It's real, but not vintage.

Many thanks!!!

Sorry for a blunt question - what exactly does it mean, not being vintage? Apart from the age related meaning - is there more to it? Description says it was made in 2005...

Thanks again

You just answered your own question - years old is not vintage. Decades old is vintage.

And the thread was posted in the vintage replica identification section!

Thanks very much!

I just didn´t quite understand why the word "vintage" was mentioned by Roffensian, so I feared there was something not quite right with it...

It says the watch was bought in 2005, so I assume the description is genuine. Am I correct?

Many thanks!!!

I mentioned vintage because you posted it in the vintage section and I moved it to the right place!

The watch was produced from 1999 to 2011 so seller's claim is likely accurate.

Anyway, will go with the suggestion from you guys that this is a real deal watch.

Thanks very much for your time...

[Don't worry Hans, Roffensian has already moved the thread, it's in the right place now.]

Hi everyone,

a few days ago I posted a question about authenticity of a watch I fell in love with on ebay. Kindly, Roffensian confirmed the watch really is genuine, so I bought it. It came next day after purchase and I just love it.

I took a few close-ups and would be very grateful, if you guys could confirm what arrived is the real deal and that everything is ok...

As I said, I do love the watch, but have two little doubts, It would be also hugely appreciated if you could advise me on those as well...:

1) As you can see on the pics of serial no., the first letter "A" is strangely "worn out", and the engraving is not as distinctive as the rest of the digits. Can this happen simply by wearing the watch? The watch was bought in 2005, would it really take only 8 years for the letters and digits to start disappearing? What do you reckon?

2) It seems to me the height difference between the dial and the inner white part of rotating ring are slightly different on both left and right sides of the watch. I hope it can be seen from the pictures - the height difference creates a very tiny edge on the right side (the dial seems to be higher on the right side) and it leaves me wondering... Is this actually on purpose and another sign of authenticity? Is it a mechanical fault?

Thanks in advance for any answers... I very much appreciate them...

The pictures aren't showing for me, but as I have moderator rights I grabbed the links from your post and it is still real. :-)

I don't see any reason either - the url is clean and the tags are correct.

I deleted the "insert image" code and left only the url´s in... Needs to be clicked on to show the pics...

Thanks again for your confirmation.

What do you think of the two issues - the disappearing serial no and strange edge of the dial?

Thanks!
