Okay, noob alert here... I'm about to stick my foot in it.

Looking at the pictures of the Datora on the chrono24 site, is it safe to say that is not a Breitling sourced movement because the balance cock is missing the "WOG" stamp?

WOG is a U.S. import code, but not every Breitling has been imported to U.S.

its a bit more complicated than that , but not every genuine breitling had the importcode
depending on age they either have it or dont have it. , some even have a BOW code , which is genuine as well

Would it be normal, lacking a WOG or BOW code, to have some form of decoration or signature on the movement to indicate it came from, or was modified by Breitling? Such as Tudor does to its ETA movements?

That movement seems awfully sterile for a high end watch manufacturer.

its very normal to have unmarked movements on pre 1945/1950 pieces

but have a search on the forum on "import codes" , should be plenty of info

This is what I would call an admission of guilt, "I only miss the big D".
