I think I'm going to cry! Here is my absolute DREAM Breitling in every respect! Rose gold, black dial, brown croco (it needs a deployant though!). And this is the first time I've EVER seen one for sale on eBay -

http://cgi.ebay.com/BREITLING-or-Bentle ... 286.c0.m14

Why do I not have a spare $50K?

I want it, I want it, I WANT IT!!!!!

(PS - This is clearly not my own auction, so I'm not shilling here! OK!?!)

Poor, poor Driver :(

It is a lovely piece, and you really do deserve it, my dear chap.
Surely there must be a way you can raise such a paltry sum. Have you
given arson a thought? Or the slave trade? The drug business is always
a reliable source of income (so I've heard). No? Not your cup of tea?
I understand. Just trying to be helpful.

It really is a beautiful watch...

Anyone wanna buy my wife???

That is very nice, and I suspect it's going to go higher before it actually sells.

I never understood why these super expensive watches are always sold with tang bracelets, surely if you can afford the watch you can afford a gold deployant (assuming that there is such a thing). I also appreciate that the seller accepts cash

Just remind yourself Driver8 that gold isn't practical!

Yeah it's odd isn't it. And yes there is indeed a rose gold deployant available.... but it'll set you back a further £2035 (GBP)!

I'll hang on to that thought tonight.... as I cry myself to sleep.

Driver, you've got some nice pacifiers there in case you really can't
get to sleep. Why don't you hold one of your Bentleys in your little
hand, then softly count backwards from a hundred. You know the drill -- 99, 98, 97...
If that doesn't work, well, I still think you'd make a great
criminal

Here is a consolation watch at a tenth of the cost:

My dear fellow,

Haven't you noticed -- at least in classic crime films -- that
the criminals -- I mean the great criminals: Auric Goldfinger,
The Corleones, Tony Soprano -- all had a passion for
glittering beauty on their wrists?

Not that everyone who likes gold watches is a crook. Hardly. It's
just that this unquenchable lust of yours for gold might, just
might, be misconstrued by some in a criminal context.

No, old bean, I have not been spying on you. That's
not necessary. But I beg you to get a grip on this demon lust that
seems to have taken control of you. Perhaps extended
therapy with a first-rate psychologist is in order. There are any
number of avenues of help available to you. all you need to do is
reach out -- before it's too late. :(

Steve
