Dear Members,

Your advice is needed again after getting my seawolf back from Breitling UK having had a service and new winding stem fitted
I was under the impression that my watch should run if anything a little fast.

Well its not my watch is losing a few seconds a day should I send it back to Breitling UK or monitor it for a while longer it came back in March.

As ever you advice is gratefully appreciated

Kind regards

Wally

How many seconds exactly? I think you're right that the default is to run slightly fast rather than slow. But COSC spec as you probably know is -4/+6, so if it's losing less than 4 seconds a day it's within spec and therefore I imagine they're unlikely to be very moved.

If it has been back since March then it should have stabilised by now, but as noted COSC is -4 / +6 so if it's within spec then there is no legitimate reason to send it back. A watchmaker can regulate it for you so that it runs slightly fast, but there are so many variables that there is no guarantee that it will stay that way.

Sorry members,

I was unable to post the attachment from my iPad I will try and post from my lap top later today please forgive my lack of IT skills
What I can say is the watch is losing more than 4 seconds a day and as it used to run at never more than plus 2 seconds a day after having the watch overhauled at Breitling UK.
All of the above will I hope make more sense if I can get the attachment on too the forum !!!
Regards

W.W.

Dear members,

I thought you might like to know that Breitling have contacted me to say that they are going to replace the movement in my seawolf, so while I will be without my watch for sometime it will be like new when I eventually get the watch back.

Regards

W.W.

Wow. A very good outcome though Walter, well done. Frustrating to be without it but psychologically very positive to be starting afresh.

Yes Tom,

I had them change the Dial on the U.T.C. To match the watch head while they have it so I can't wait to get my watch back!!

Thanks for your interest

Regards

Wally

Dear Members,

Having not heard from Breitling since they informed me that they would be replacing the movement in my seawolf which has spent more time at Breitling UK than I have worn it.

Please be advised the estimated completion date for the servicing/repairs to your Breitling Avenger Seawolf is the 29th November.

I am very disappointed at the amount of time it is taking, having had other brand name watches restored and serviced Breitling leaves a lot to be desired in regard to looking after there customers

Regards

Walter
