I just purchased the Aeromarine Superocean Chrono and the crown seems to be totally disengaged. Without it it's virtually impossible to pull out the stem. Is there a way to tighten and affix it back onto the watch? It doesn't appear to have threads n the stem, only a bit of a thin ridge near the tip.
I do plan to bring it in to my watchmaker but was curious if it's something that can be done by myself. Any help would be appreciated.

How old is the watch? Do you know it's service history?
Best advice is to take it to a Breitling Authorised service centre and get a full service done.
It will come back looking like new and working like new, with a 12 month warranty attached to it.

:yeahthat

Crown is not a user maintenance item and it may well be an indicator of other issues going on with the watch.
