Hey guys i just bid on this watch can someone help identify if it is authentic thanks so much

Can't tell for sure, but leaning fake.
There's a very good replica of this model, so need much better photos to be sure.

I'm no expert either way but would underline what bnewbie said about the quality of the fake on this model - one or two of these have seriously exercised the collective in the past. [Grainy photos don't inspire confidence.]

Is there box and matching papers?

Yes difficult to call. We need clearer pics

I think it's fake but wouldn't commit without better pictures, and would never commit without a full set of B&P on this model. Heck, with this model I wouldn't buy except at an AD.

Fake for me too. Dial looks good, the lack of detail on the back is a red flag for me.

The shape of the datewheel '9' bugs me. I looked on the web for pics of others and found one - second picture down @

The date-9 on that (assuming that one's genuine...) seems to have a bit more of a lip at the bottom left; the one here goes more straight across.

Problem with all of this is that the genuine has been through a number of changes. The 'quality' fake of this is virtually indistinguishable from the real thing.

can only echo the statements above: NEVER, EVER buy these w/o complete and correctly matching papers, ideally directly from an AD.

"gut feeling" is fake (lume quality), but, as Roff said, the "gens" have been through a number of small changes on bezel and dial and Breitling is not immune to botched QC, so not calling this - generally assume each of these SO is fake as long as impeccable documentation and provenance do not prove authenticity.

I'm 99% sure this one is real. The lume markers on the dial ring are neat and square and much better than the blobs seen on the fake version. Also, the serial number does not have the usual range used by fakes of this model, 1342xxx
