Firstly, I'm new to the forum so will do an introductions bit in the relevant section shortly, but I arrive with a question!

I recently bought a [I believe] 1950's Breitling Manual Wind dress watch.
It has references 290731 & 699095.

Now onto the question - The dial should have a 3 pinned script style 'B' emblem at the 12 i clock marker which is missing. I have found a picture of a gold dialled version similar, but am wondering if anyone worldwide would supply such a component? Is it the kind of thing an old watchmaker could have tucked in a back of a drawer never to see light of day again, or something thats available 'off the shelf' from a specialist?

The watch keeps time and is functioning well in every other sense, I just feel it woud bother me to wear it knowing it's incomplete.

If anyone can offer advice I'd be extremely greateful.

Many thanks

Baz

A similar dialled version to show the 'B' im looking for.

Well i only went and found one!!
I contacted about 10 dial restorers around the globe and had a response from Roberto at watchdialrestoration.co.uk who had the part in stock and sent it to my stepfather who owns a Breitling certified workshop - [I wont name as unsure if allowed?]

He had it fitted for me straight away, so I'm now on the hunt for a genuine buckle and it's ready to wear. 8) :lingsrock:
