Hello,

I kindly had a Navitimer passed down to me from a relative and would like to find out a little bit more about the model / year etc. Please see the photo. My wrists are very small so the face looks bigger than it actually is, but I do know it is a Navitimer and not a Navitimer World!

Many Thanks

Oops...Roff how do u know it's a fake? Not familiar with Navitimer line and trying to learn more. Is it because the old Navitimer doesn't have the word "Chronometre" above the "Navitimer" word on the dial? This piece looks more like a Navitimer World without GMT. Even so Navitimer World has "1884" below the Breitling name on the dial.

Just look at the subdials - two subdials going to 60 on a 6 / 9 / 12 layout is never going to be real.

Oh ya didn't notice that. Even a 3/6/9 sub dials layout doesn't have that...

It does if it is caliber 39, hence why I specifically stated 6 / 9 / 12.

Would I be right in saying the slide rule on the bezel doesn't look quite right as well?

To be fair I'm comparing with a later Navitimer, but the text looks a little heavy and imprecise to me.

Yes, as well as date font and bracelet...
