EDIT - NOW OHPF!

Thanks to BS as always for facility.

Mike

Gentlemen,

Up for grabs is a lovely Breitling SuperOcean Heritage 38, the A37320. It's the Bronze Dial and Bezel version, with the small subseconds dial complication. Serial Number 974455 present on caseback.

Specs and other useful info can be found here: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... e_127.html

This automatic model, which incorporates the Breitling 37 Movement (modified ETA 2895-2) was purchased from a TZ-UK member a few months back.

It needed some TLC to be honest. The original Ocean Classic Bracelet had been broken, hacked at, badly spot-welded, and basically ruined...even the clasp was held together by a bit of fuse wire. The few bits I managed to salvage have been sold off as spares. Also, the bezel insert looked like it had come off worst in a fight with a blender.

Anyway, it went off to Breitling (via Andrew Michaels Jewellers), and I collected it a couple of weeks ago. As you'd expect, they've done a splendid job - the case has been repolished, they've replaced the bezel insert, and sealed the caseback (Service seal in place). I also got Jeff at AMJ to fit a brand new Black Diver Pro II Rubber with polished tang.

So now I have a like-new SOH 38 - and it's just a tad too small for my gorilla wrists. I generally wear a Seamaster Pro or a Steelfish, and this just feels that little bit 'lost' on my wrist in comparison.

To summarise, as you would expect after a Breitling repair, it's in terrific condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. It's running beautifully, and keeps accurate time. I normally do a full 'Condition Report' when I sell a watch, but as everything is now pretty much mint, it'll save a bit of typing! The caseback looks like it has some fine swirls on it, but I think that's probably an illusion caused by Service Seal - I'm fairly certain the caseback was clear of any marks before the watch went in for the repair.

I never had the Box and Papers, so the watch will come in the Breitling Service case, with cushion and polishing cloth. I've got a till receipt for the repair from AMJ, and another for the new Diver Pro II - I can scan copies of these if required.

I think the SOH 38 is now discontinued - I can't find it in the 2012 or 2013 Catalogues. The last RRP on this on a rubber was £2650 (2011 Breitling Price List).

The going rate for a used version on rubber seems to hover around the £1550/1600 mark , and considerably more on the OC bracelet.

This doesn't have a Box or Papers, so I'm going to put this up at an extremely reasonable £1199 - that's a bit of a steal, considering the recent repair and resulting super condition, and despite the cost of the replacement bezel insert, and the brand new Diver Pro II. The price includes Next Day RMSD for UK Bidders. I don't think you'll find a better one at this price, so that's firm.

Overseas will need to contact me for exact Shipping costs based on destination, but I'll use a tracked and insured servcice, so you're looking at an extra £15 or so, I'd guess.

I've loads of Feedback on here, I'm a 'Top Rated' e-bay seller (2450+ deals, 100%, username 'goonermike'), and I've got plenty of Feedback on TZ-UK (username 'BigBird'), so there are no worries there.

I'd prefer BT. PayPal if absolutely necessary, or for overseas, but I cannot accept PayPal Gifts (my account just won't accept them, and I get charged even on gifts). So if you want to use PayPal, it'll be via the 'official' route, and you'll need to add 3.4% to cover Fees.

If I've missed anything, you'd like more info or pics, please feel free to PM me.

Cheers!
