Hi fellows!

Just found this amazing site!

Hope I found it in time :-)

The question is:

I´ve been offered two (2) White dial Chronomat Evolution Rosegold/stainless steel watches with Pilot bracelet.

Both comes completet with boxes and everything.

They are both from 2008 BUT;

One of them has the WINGS-logo on the clasp in gold, the other one doesn´t??

Is something wrong or was this an "option" to the original buyer?

or have they switched during 2008 from one style to the other?

Appreciate your help members!

Regards

Henk

Are they both two tone bracelets? (as opposed to being on a two tone watch).

The two tone bracelet should have the applied gold wings on the clasp, whereas a regular stainless steel bracelet has the 'normal' Breitling wings.

Hi,

yes they are both 2-tone bracelets. Rosegold/steel. Should they be and the REFERENCE NUMBER is for RG.

The watch is from AD....

Is this an old clasp on a new watch or am being fooled?

Appreciate your help on this,

Regards

Henk

I'll need to dig into the archives - I think there used to be non gold wings on TT bracelets, certainly the modern ones have gold - anyone else remember off the top of their heads?

If they are both from the same AD you should be able to get them to swap the bracelets so that you get the watch you want with the bracelet you want.

Well, my TT pilot's from 2000 on a Crosswind, and it has the stamped wings on the clasp. AD bought of course.

Something in the back of my mind thought that was the case - memory is just fading as I get older.

So there you have it Henk - likely just an older bracelet.

UPDATE!

Thanks for your help members!

Finally got hold of an AD that could answer this after a week...

The Golden applied wings were introduced at Basel last year!

I have to check with the other AD and see if he can get me this part, which is possible to buy separately for about 200 US. (you don´t have to order the whole clasp)

The AD stated that the watch was a 2008 model, but this a clearly a 2007 model clasp, in best case. Sour, but a miner problem.

I´ll get in ot Wednesday next week so I´m excited anyways :-)

Big thanks for all help,

H

I have an old 2 tone Chronomat with a 2 tone bracelet and it does not have gold wings on the clasp. However the new ones I've seen at my AD all have the gold wings on the clasp which I think is really cool.
