yeah, cash here also. BUT. i wouldnt be opposed to a 0% deal on a more expensive watch than i would normally buy. ($10k+) if i still got a good discount, had all or most of the money to actually buy the watch cash if i wanted to, socked away in savings.

also, no one has really mentioned. if it is a small enough payment to never mess with you financially what the hell?

I always buy used on high end watches, much like my cars I let the first owner take the hit and I will buy it from a enthusiast!

Cars = Finance (Heloc, Interest Write-off ;) )
Watches = Cash
Motorcycles = Cash
Boat = Never Lol

You are so rite about the boat.
If you can f**k it, fly it, or float it your better of renting it...Lol

Been there, done that! For the first year, it was almost every weekend. Then it became too much of pain. So I ended up springing for a slip. But then I was stuck with that one lake and it started to get boring. Then just lugging all the crap out there became a pain. Then it sat. Then I stopped paying for the slip and it came home. Then it really sat. And sat. And sat. Then sold. It is the American boating story for 99% of boats bought.

Unless you are really into sailing, fishing or water skiing AND live on the ocean or a lake, save your money fellas.

My brother bought a boat this year. Keeps it at Lake Michigan... go figure it's been cold and rainy here in Chicago pretty much all "summer" so far. I have my doubts about how long he will keep it, but for now it's a blast! (and at least 1000 times better than me owning it :lol: )

Exactly! Just pay for the gas. Win/win.

I always put my watches on a credit card that earns me airline miles. I then immediately pay off the card. My family and I haven't paid for an airline ticket in years.

I pay cash for my watches to get a better deal at the AD.
If I like another watch I will either sell off my existing watch to help finance my new watch if I lost feelings for my existing watch
But if I still have feelings, I will just save up to buy the new watch
