The subject line should read (but it is limited !):

Breitling eWarranty cards ..... display contents susceptible to corruption due to applied pressure

So what is with these 'gimmicks' because that is all they seem to be. I am happy that the warranty info is (hopefully) retained within them in some way but to be honest the 'overly sensitive' display technology employed results in an 'all too tacky' attempt at being clever.

I don't want an eWarranty card covered with sunburst patterns ... I want to see the registration information.

I also have some technical questions regarding my Transocean 1461 but I'd like to get this warranty card issue resolved first. Are AD's (ie ANY AD) with the eWarranty 'kit' able to 'reset' the eWarranty card display ?

Regards,

Kevin

What were your "technical" questions regarding your TO 1461? I just picked one up myself and I'm curious...

I don't know whether you have seen this topic regarding the electronic warranty:

According to Frunkinator any AD should be able reset the display of the electronic warranty card:

Just go back to your AD and he will rescan your eWarranty card. No problem. Don't forget to bring your COSC certificate for the AD to be able to do this.

Just a small comment here but I have not had any customer coming back to me with this problem. Just be a bit careful handling the card and you won't have any problems neither.

I'm just curious as to what you guys are doing to your warranty cards? Squeezing the screen just to see what would happen?? Lol. I'm waiting for my new E-Warranty to come in the mail, is it just from normal handling or am I missing something?
