I would have probably redone the hr/min hands too to match. The problem with leaving them very dark is you just can't see them quickly to tell time. It's a give and take situation, want to maintain originality or be able to see the time. Maybe not so much of a bright white would have worked better.

I agree with Vintage. Problem is, the need to have a watch that is relatively easy to tell the time with, as opposed to losing the authenticity of the original.

It’s also not the most skilful attempt at refreshing the sub dial hands I have ever seen. Even in the photos you can tell that. Would have been better to leave it as it was (assuming it was all intact originally) and putting up with the hard to read time. It’s a vintage watch after all, so why mess with it!

subdial hands are not too respectfully restored, no doubt.
but this can be easily corrected and overall it is a very nice piece.
market does not seem to mind the subdial hands - watch is above 3.1k, 8 days to go. :shock:

True, nice piece, the lumes not my prefered shade though, gone too black/dark for my taste or maybe its the photocopier.
