Hello Everyone,

I thought I would post a few pics of my Navitimers, I hope you like them.

The first is a 1996 Airborne I purchased new. At 17 years old I wonder if it's earned the right to be called vintage yet!. Obviously I have the box and all the paper work, it's been serviced four times and repaired once ( a hand fell off after it was serviced). I do wish I had bought a metal strap for it when they were still a reasonable price ( it's 20mm) but I fear I will never afford one now. New Breitlings were a lot cheaper back in 1996.

The second is a 806 from 1965. That I think is in pretty good condition. It took me ages to find at the right price, they are out of my reach now, in this condition. I purchased it as a set with a box and a set of papers, but as you can see, the box isn't from 1965. Perhaps they were originally together, but I guess more likely they were not. I have been on the lookout for a proper period box ( so I can sell this one) but the last two times I found one, I got sniped by some bloke called Bill Shane.

I also have a couple of others and a made up/franken I bought by mistake ( a lesson learned) , thankfully it runs very well and looks quite cool and I purchased it long enough ago to not be too bothered these days. Sadly there are a lot more around these days and advertised for considerably more than they should, which is a shame, especially as ebay seems unwilling to do anything about it.

very, very nice - but before you look for a box for your '65 Navitimer yous should exchange the hands ?
you would end up with a profit even, these are hands from the black/black Navi w/ rice bead bezel.

Fred,

Well there is a top tip if I ever I read one :bow: .

So I guess this means at some point these were added and the originals removed?

yep; have seen this one many pieces. but always the other way around, these hands are very rare;
the "modern" hands are much easier to find.

Corrected your post Fred :lol:

Gorgeous pieces, and we'll let the non vintage piece slide as it is one of the most underappreciated of the modern era Navis. If it were a few mm larger people would be all over it.

I'll trade those 'incorrect' hands with a correct set of hands anytime you want :-)

(I have a few sets of correct hands)
