And will look a whole lot better when the crystal is replaced - because that's where most of the damage is.

Wish it had a Breitling crown. Finding one to match will be a chore. I wouldn't restore this one except for the crystal and crown. It's funny in the antique world patina is everything. Remove the original aged finish and you drastically affect the value.

From the picture, doesn't the black dial look peeled off in the 8 to 10 O Clock area?

I actually agree with San, the dial edge is light(er) between 8 and 10 , but I could live with that on this watch

Missed that - I thought that he meant the marks over the black on the dial.

There is similar staining around 12 and agree that is patination ( :wink: ) on the dial.

The more I look at this one the less I like it. Might have a slightly twisted lug too. I'm out on this one.
