Right Cruv's I'm going take a stab at this one, it is a beautiful watch for sure, but, to me it looks like the numbers on the face have been relumed also the hands and although the sliderule is aged, it's not quite aged enough for me for a watch this old.

I await my lesson for the evening chaps

if somebody relumed this dial, he's the Michelangelo of restorers, worthy of the highest praise.
doubt that. the sliderule insert is excellent, outstanding - but might well be original to the watch.
enviable condition throughout. Kurt ?

I've just checked out Kurts article again and you forget that watches in this condition can still be found, it looks like it could slot perfectly in with his collection, outstanding quality well done to whoever bought it

Well, I think the price is low for that. I would have paid atleast 30% more for it if really wanted it. The seller didn't do his homework.

Agreed, certainly don't think that it was 30% under.

The price was a steal, the dial is by far the best dial I have ever seen / bought on a 1954 Navitimer, it is clean, and the lacquer shines like if it had left production only yesterday, the Tritium has IMO patinated into the most beautiful colour it can possible do, and the case shows only little wear, the hands have corroded, but they almost all do, even my NOS 1955 have corroded on the hour hand.

I have always kept the best ones, and this one will become a part of my collection, so one will have to go, a picture will be uploaded to my article in the near future.

The seller should take off at least $4000 for the rusty hands and then add back about $2000 for the original stained lume!
