I'm new to the forums and am a relatively new Breitling owner. I just bought the new 2008 SA from an AD. The warranty papers, certificate, and instruction booklet came in a plastic zip-lock bag. From what I can see from others who have posted pictures of their Breitlings, their papers came in a sleek looking yellow sliding box. Did someone take mine or something? Or did Breitling decide to just package the papers in these ghetto plastic bags now? I feel left out...

That sounds all wrong! Go back to your AD and let him know...

So, were you ever given an explanation as to why the yellow boxes did not come with teh watch? Here's a random video of a watch reveal I found on youtube. Seems like this guy has the exact same plastic bag packaging that I had:

Only had one sofar this year, but I saw a lot of boxes at my AD and all of them had the small yellow boxes.

Will report back when I pick up the new SA (and possibly a steelfish as well, I am going nuts here, hahahaha).

I wonder if they are moving away from the boxes. Perhaps Alien or one of the other ADs can throw some light on it.

Both of my purchases earlier this year came with the usual yellow box and bakelite case.

Yes, I was really hoping some AD's could shed some light on this for the newer models.

Weird,
Both mine came with yellow boxes, I presumed they all did. I would check with your AD about this!

Probably about half and half for me. B-1, Cosmo and Evo with plastic bags, most of the others with the yellow box. All from different AD's.
No biggie IMHO.
Cheers,
Ron

Yeah, mine is half and half too.. but all my new style boxes only come with zip locked bags. I dont think the new boxes have a document box.

What is the new style box? Is it like the one on the youtube video that was posted, that has an image of something that looks like a water drop on top?
Because my SA came in one of those, and it came with the yellow box for the papers.

That's good to know that i'm not the only one. I was kind of paranoid that I didn't have all the pieces to the package because usually people in the secondary market care about having all the original items (although I would never sell my baby, it's just sort of an OCD thing) : :tard: Obviously though, I would have preferred the box, but I wonder why they don't always come with the package.
