Really just to reiterate Craig's post.

Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions. Craig has compleated the service of my bullhead 7101 and currently trying to resolve timing issues with my 1806. I will post final pictures when Craig has worked his final magic.

Cheers everyone.

Paul.

Yesterday evening I had a look in my toolcase containing various caseback tools . I have found a standard stamped metal tool , 32 mm - 14 faces , similar to Breitling factory tools ... It does not fit , as the shape of Pult case does not allow to place the tool correctly .
I shall try to touch it up in order to adapt it to Pult case but mechanical resistance will be low , I am afraid

Update - just did the Gorilla Glue/Goof Off trick on a Longines Comet (1970s) caseback that had never been removed. It worked like a champ once again.
I want to add that in with both watches, they had to be held in a vice to get the leverage needed to loosen the back. It is MOST IMPORTANT to make sure the case is well padded in the vice so that it will not be damaged. I used hard plastic for this. Good luck if you try it. Craig

i loved reading this thread. It had a kind of McGyver quality to it. Great to see a solution.

It's amazing what can be accomplished with many minds working together.

Update number 3. Got another Pult case that appears to never have been opened. Out comes the Gorilla glue again!

Update No. 4, deed done. some of you might remember the watch; turns out it really seems to be NOS like the seller stated;

Craig thinks it has never been opened and the case looks brand new . we will never know why that dial ring was
missing, I'm afraid - but a correct ring is waiting in Vienna :D

Thank you, Craig !
