Another set for identification:

ref 112 not in Richter, but looks correct for a 1947 3-hand, quite like it.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/EXCELLENT-1950- ... 20d31a49c9
seems correct & nice, production year 1950, logo on the dial maybe "touched up" ?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BREITLING-CADET ... 48558a1435
no caseback, no movement shot, stay away.
advertised as "BREITLING CADETTE VINTAGE TESTOSTERONE LADEN MEN'S TANK WATCH BA LUGS BUY IT BRO" :wowzers

Testing my fake identification skill.

Seems this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-BREITLI ... 43bc32564f ref 169 is fake because of:

1. should be arabian
2. crown is wrong.

Am I right?

Well it's wrong, but not sure on the reasons.

169 is not a documented model as far as I recall, and the serial number would place it to 1955 which would mean that the dial should have Geneve on it. The Breitling on the dial looks like it has been added, although the movement looks OK (although very easy to add a Breitling wheel to the keyless works). Can't see whether the crown is signed or not, but wouldn't necessarily use that to rule the watch out on its own as replacements after 60 years wouldn't be unusual.

do you know any vintage webshops? I'm getting tired to surf all that staff on ebay.

you stand a better chance buying from the sales section on this forum
otherwise be prepared to ask loads of questions and do a lot of background searches on the watch and the seller
vintage breitling seems to be more and more a stomping ground for fakers , I get fooled once in awhile still with the dawhora's

but there are also some people on the vintage section that regularly sell 100% authentic watches so if you explain what you are looking for you might get something offered in the sales section or put up a 'wanted' ad ?
