I had been coveting an Avenger for some time, but when I got around to trying one on my puny 7 inch wrist just couldn't handle it. So I had resigned myself to a Colt Chronograph II, but really wanted a automatic Breitling with the wings on the dial and a pro II bracelet (none of which apply to the Colt Chrono II).

So, during a recent period at home recovering from a minor operation I hit the internet hard. To my delight, I eventually sourced an unworn Superocean 42 Chrono which had everything I wanted. And as a discontinued model, the price was right too.

To say I am chuffed is an understatement, I'm really loving my new watch. Got it last week and haven't stopped wearing it!

Nice watch! I have the black faced model but am on the look out for a white faced one. It's still my favourite watch. Welcome to the forum!

Beauty. It looks great on a Breitling brown calf strap too.

Congrats and welcome. I've always liked that dial combo on the SO1 Chrono :-)

CSO is one of the most under- appreciated Breitlings of recent years. A brilliant watch. Congrats.

I have the same model. Enjoy it, and get a few extra straps. I have the brown croc, which I think looks the best, followed by the Pro II stainless. I am currently in summer mode by wearing mine on OR and I love that too. I have pictures on here somewhere if you want to take a look.

BTW for your signature the model is Chrono Superocean. Just an FYI.

Congratulations - it's a beauty!

I think you made the right choice with respect to size. The Avenger would have not been flattering. The SOC has plenty of presence on your wrist, without overwhelming it. (At least from what I can see from the photo). Enjoy!
