I sent my SA in for a complete overhaul as it was consistently running 10-15 seconds fast over a 3 day period and getting faster as the week moved on. I sent it to Horological Services in Boyertown, PA. They have been a pleasure to work with answering all of my annoying questions via email. And have communicated everything so well. I have been dealing with Theresa there since Feb when I initially was going to send it in but waited a bit as it seemed to be running right on time. But got faster as the months went by. I kept a close eye on it and finally decided to send it in earlier this week. I should have the estimate by Monday and hopefully it does not need any parts and the complete overhaul will have it running within COSC standards and looking brand new.

As of now I highly recommend Horological Services. I will send an update once I receive the estimate. As well as pics once it is back in my hands. Hopefully the next 3-4 weeks go fast. I miss my SA!! :D :D :D :D

So here is an update.

I have been in contact with the service center since the moment I shipped out the watch. They have some perplexing questions for me in regards to where I purchased it and so forth. I informed them I purchased pre owned on line (via ebay). Turns out the watch is a FAKE!!. It has genuine hands, face and bezel. The case and movement are not Breitling. I have been in shock in regards to the news. Needless to say after I regained consciousness after my blackout when I read their email I contacted ebay. It has been 4 months since the purchase, so they instructed me to reach out to the seller. It has been 4 months because just recently did it start running about 10 seconds to fast. I have been on contact with the service center since Feb in regards to getting the watch serviced. But just recently decided to send it in and get the complete overhaul done. Well at least I thought I was going to, before it turned out to be fake

The seller responded back calming I was trying to scam him and that no refund would be issued. Even though he has stated ( i have multiple emails) that it is authentic and he had the watch movement certified by his local AD. I did ask alot of questions before I purchased it. I asked for more pictures of the caseback as well. I did ask before I purchased it if he had ever serviced it or had it looked it, he did mot. But he is adamantly denying that it is fake. But I do have all of the paperwork stating that it is fake. So after getting off the phone with ebay and seeing his response via email, I contacted Paypal. As of now Paypal has been quite nice to deal with. I opened a claim and am just waiting for some paper work on their end to fill out. I did receive the watch back yesterday from the center with cds, letter of issues, and Navitimer info sheet (what model the serial number belongs to)

I cant say enough GREAT things about Horological Services, they have helped me thru this the whole way. They have provided me a letter on official letterhead stating what's wrong with the watch and what is not authentic. They have sent me 5 HD color close ups of issues with it. They have also provided me with a sheet on what model the serial number actually belongs to (Navitimer). They even told me that if Payapl needed to talk to them to have them reach out.

I still cant believe this is happening. It sucks SOOOOO bad and is such a helpless feeling. I have compiled roughly 100 emails between myself the service center and all of the original emails before, during and after the purchase between myself and the seller. Where he states "of course it is authentic" and " I had the movement certified and authenticated by my AD" as well as the letter, the Navitimer sheet, pictures. I will be sending all of this to Paypal in order to execute my claim and have them issue my refund. They tell me this could take up to 40 days. Which sucks even worse. I just hope the info I am sending them is enough and there are no hiccups in the process.

As I type this up I am starting to have heart palpitations again thinking about how I have been wearing a fake this whole time, thinking i was finally LUCKY enough to have a Breitling on my wrist. To wear it with pride knowing that I worked hard for it and it was something to be proud of. Now it just makes me feel terrible. I really truly honestly thought I vetted it as much as I could. I even brought it to MY AD for a new Pro Diver strap as the one that came on it was to small. They put it on and even complimented me about how good of shape the watch was in. It is just a nightmare that keeps me up at night.

I am currently waiting for a form to fill out from Paypal. Once i get that form I will fax that in along with the emails, letter stating what is fake, and the pictures. Hopefully that will be enough to prove that i have a true claim and Paypal issues me a refund.

I still cant believe this is happening. This really is the worst feeling in the world. Being fooled for 4 months thinking I have finally arrived I have a Breitling. Only to be told that there are red flags with the watch and it is a FAKE!!!

Thank you for listening my friends. I will keep the updates flowing as to where this leads and hopefully when I get my money refunded. Sooner than later I hope.

I apologize if this post doesn't make sense and there are repeated statements. It is just hard to write down how I am feeling currently.

But in the end Horloogical Services is a great service center

Tried to upload the photos I have from the center, but I have to adjust the size and done have time currently.

Any ideas of how I can speed up the process with Paypal. I already have a lead on a New REAL SA from a member here. So I am just looking to speed this up so I can get my money back and get the deal done. The forum member has been the MOST helpful person to date in all of this. He has gone out of his way to answer questions, talk me off of the ledge, and help me out with what to do with Paypal. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS about him. You know who you are. Thank you for everything up until this point. I hope I can get this done soon. I want that SA for my wedding day. I deserve to feel pretty too, not just her right?

Cant help but laugh, because if I don't I will surly cry

Paypal should back you bro, I've dealt with them for years now and every time I filed a claim for anything from not receiving an item that was "lost" en route or false description they are very good about helping out. Hope everything works out for you bro. Congrats on the wedding btw. Keep us posted!

Do you by any chance still have the pictures that the ebay seller used in his for sale listing on ebay?
If so, can the serial number be seen from the pictures? The same serial number that Horological Services claim belongs to a Navitimer.
If not, perhaps an email from the seller with the serial number?
This could help in your case as it would clearly demonstrate that the watch Horological Services examined is the same as the ebay seller was selling, in case he tries to challenge that it is maybe not the same watch.

Very sorry to hear abouot this... I suspect you will have to chalk this one up to experience. How much did you pay?

However, I do think you'd have to be mad to buy a high end watch off eBay...

What a miserable experience for you. I hope it all ends well. I have bought 3 Breitlings via eBay with no problems but this could happen to anyone who buys off that site. There are some thieving rats out there. That guy should be banned from selling. Good luck with Paypal and more importantly with the wedding.

Came with a box and a manual. No COSC cert or warranty card

No I don't. I still have the ad I. My purchase history but it will not let me open the ad. Hopefully eBay has it on their servers to correspond. I don't have any emails with the serial number in it either. Hopefully this doesn't prevent me from getting a refund and returning the watch

Thanks everybody for the support!! And the well wishes!! I just hope this is resolved with no issues. I am a bit concerned I have no photos of the serial number now. I did ask him to take a picture of the case back before I bought it. I tried to find that but it was deleted from the site by the time I got to it last week when this all went down

No they did not. I asked but Breitling USA instructed them to only take pics of the exterior parts. So that no one could say that they tampered with the movement.
