That thing is a MONSTER!! I also love the look. Did anyone else think the hour hand looks a little short? Maybe it's just me being picky... Anyway, this is way out of my budget and lifestyle.

I noticed it as well.... I'm assuming it must help the wearer to read the digital letters/numbers

Excuse my lack of knowledge... as far as the transmitter is concerned, how does a "dual transmitter" benefit over its predecessors?

This is all the background you'll need -

http://www.aopa.org/advocacy/articles/2 ... 22elt.html

Essentially, despite 406 being the "official" frequency, both frequencies will be picked up and will therefore help the emergency services find you, so .... which is a good thing.

Great link! Thanks! :lingsrock:

I wonder if double the price is worth being able to charge your watch?
I also winder if charging is for the transmitter and watch or just the transmitter.
I'm tempted to trade some of mine in for it but it's rather pricey...

Blimey, that is a BIG crown, I love it though, in orange.

For me that currently has to be THE coolest watch on the planet right now.

I want that orange dial so bad.

Does anyone else think the digits on the yellow face should be black (not white)? White is tough to read on yellow.

Anyway, not that this will bother me too much as I won't be getting one for 2 reasons:

1) The size - I'd have to wear it round my neck
2) The price!

Wow! It's not really a wrist watch is it? More of a wrist clock.

I have an Emergency, one of the special Orbiter 3 editions.

A really wonderful thing to have! It is about as big as you would want a watch to be; I think the new version really is too big. I like wearing mine, but anything bigger would be too much.

And the price! You can just about get an as-new solid gold standard Emergency for the same money...

 You get a lot of those kind of shots on G-Shock forums - guys with 6" wrists rocking 55mm watches. Nah, just doesn't work if you don't have the pipes for it.

Yep it would on a 6" wrist. I highly doubt ablogtowatch would photoshop the E2 to make it look bad.
