I'm not a fan of the SO42 anyway : this one doesn't help me like it any extra.

For the love of Hank the Cod give the darn thing a bezel pearl!!!

I actually don't mind this relative to the other options for the model, but not really me. My wife would probably like it.

Like that. Though as Roff says, daft not to have the pearl. And I reckon if you like those blues and dive watches the Omega Seamaster range would have more enticement.

Could be my new blue diver ? Like the blue dial/bezel combination, would have to see actual color in person though. Still would like to see case brushed of course :) .

Good option for the SO 42, beats the colored minutes ring on the previous version which I never really warmed up to.

The Superocean 42 just doesn't do it for me. Not bad but just not great. Better than some of the other pieces though! Great lume.

Hank the Cod actually seems to have retired after finishing the new Bentley line and that bezel - or is only on vacation ?

I have been here now for over a year and reading about Hank the Cod without really knowing who Hank the Cod is.
Some googling and all revealed now and here it is for the more recent members benefit, scroll down to Driver8's post ;-)

Been a while since I read that post of mine! That Colt with the wibbly-wobbly bezel was the absolute nadir of Breitling's design IMO - apologies to anyone who owns one : JMO - and I guess it inspired me to some "creative" writing!

Haha! That's pretty awesome, guys. The birthplace of Hank the Cod.

Cheers!

Another few years and maybe lume dot on a diver's bezel will be re-discovered... :(

I kinda like it. But I also miss the lume dot on the bezel...
