Just got done chatting with my AD, and here is some info he passed. The AD's get info before it's released, so we may see this as early as tomorrow on the Breitling website:

1. MSRP for the Emergency II: $15,750 USD
2. Super Avenger II: Looks similar but has brushed case and different bezel
3. Avenger Seawolf GMT is coming
4. Avenger II: he wasn't specific what is was, mayber different bezel? I would like to see an Avenger Chrono GMT :)

Just passing this on for what it's worth.

I may be completely out in left field on this, but between 51mm and $15K msrp, hasn't the Emergency crossed the line into being an expensive piece of flight or other specialized safety equipment that just happens to tell time?

Words to strike fear - "new bezel".

Official first day of Basel is tomorrow and that's usually when the full srt of announcements comes out so we should know for sure what the bezel looks like.

Let's hope it's not a Buck Rogers type bezel. A brushed SA? Yup I kinda like that idea. But he was a bit vague on the description of the other pieces, so I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

My advance vote is going for, "Not very nice".

Yep. an 'instrument for professionals', for very well off professionals - you know, like lawyers and such  :poke: .

The price doesn't surprise me. In fact nothing about watch prices surprise me anymore, getting just ridiculous. A few years ago everyone was screaming for in-house movements, unique materials, etc. Well, here we are, prices through the roof. I guess I'm still old school, ETA movements and good ole SS or titanium.

Yes, I too am not enamored with "in-house" watches that don't bring any other value other than making the watch much more expensive! Not even sure of the 'prestige' value since many of these new in-house movements are plagued with inherent flaws & not more accurate than it's ETA counterpart anyways. Worse, the in-house pcs act like a license to raise prices across the board to all the other ETA based watches also! I guess Swatch late-boss really knew what he was doing when he said in-house mvnt is good for the swiss watch industry (margins)...

New styling of SA II doesn't scare me. Its new prices will. I'm hoping Breitling will remember that a huge appeal of the SA is its huge bang-for-buck value.

Thanks for sharing.

My guess is that the Avenger line will get the same or similar bezel that the Galactic II got.

On the grand scheme of things, not too bad if they keep similar case and look. If they also get the in-house treatment then they will go up quite a bit and that scares me as much as the potential bezel ;-)

I get that inhouse movements will drive up the price, and I'm ok with that. The amount they raised the price is just excessive. Look at the price diff between the navitimer and the 01, that's reasonable.

Well my AD just sent me a few pics (I will post later) of the SA with arabics, and the Avenger Seawolf GMT on bracelet with arabics. I believe they are on Pro III bracelets. Both are really nice IMHO. The MSRP of the Avenger GMT on bracelet was $4150! Not too bad. :D I am not thrilled about the Blacksteel Cosi (which is ridiculously priced btw at 12k) I always thought the Avenger line looked best in Blacksteel. But it is pretty sweet for detail. I do like the new bezels and dials. Lots of pleasant surprises this year. :lingsrock:

$4150 for a GMT is very good. It seems very odd that some pieces seem 'cheap' (you know what I mean) while others seem to be priced ridiculously high. Perhaps more segregation of the ranges and maybe even an attempt at the value end to reposition to allow for the clamping down on discounts???
