Not review worthy, so I'll hijack this thread.

New arrival from Steinhart. My expectations were not high, but I'm truly digging this one with obvious IWC and Bremont …um … shall we say …. "influences???" This 43mm fits me like a charm and is better looking than I anticipated. The dial has three distinct levels which don't show well in these pics - "YO Gunter! A/R. Get some." But in person it's very nice - I saw one a buddy had a few months ago. The chapter ring is brushed SS. Real weight to the watch. Case hugs the wrist. But what sets it apart from the first and only Steinhart I've owned (BS Project Watch 2) is the bracelet is amazingly good. Solid clasp, good heft, well-finished underside (usually my main beef with lower priced watches) so it is extremely comfortable. This one has been out there for a while but they just got my attention when they added a blue, a yellow and an all white. I was all set to buy the yellow when my PTSD from my IWC AT 2 disaster kicked in (hated that watch, sold it, then the buyer in Canada claimed there was something wrong confirmed by his AD, I took it back - took 3 weeks to receive it as buyer opted for ground shipping - what a jerk, took it to my IWC AD and they checked it out and it was fine of course - what a jerk, then ended up trading it on a new JLC I think). I opted for the basic black. The bezel grip really sucks! Cost was about 450 Euro, I think, with shipping. Odered a week ago today, so no complaints there. Initial indications are this is a huge value for under a grand.

Cell pics suck, but here it is -

Several neat visual cues here--raised markers, the clean, circular balance to the second hand, raised trim around the date window. Clearly an IWC look on the style of the bezel but I actually like the execution better here. Reminds me (controversy and thread stealer alert) of how Grand Seiko made a better GMT bezel than Rolex now does. They clearly took the newer IWC bracelet style, on one hand the biggest drawback as it too closely copies, on the other one of my favorites out there. And a touch smaller than the present Aquatimer 2000 is to me a good thing. Intriguing pickup, Tom.

Interesting piece Tom. I've been on the hunt lately for a inexpensive blue dial diver for the summer. Will have to check out the dimensions and see about rubber options, etc.

I like the crown and case design from the pics.

The knurled bezel and crown is also pretty cool.

I got mine with the rubberized leather strap too. I have to offer up that the bezel edge is a functional design flaw - so slick it is very difficult to turn the bezel. Very dumb in light of the other details including a sapphire covered crown end.
