After this, maybe they will devote a moment's attention. If one of these ended up in the hands of a "that guy" and he went ballistic under just the right circumstances, could be bad p.r.

Absolutely, all joking aside this is horrible QC, made worse by the fact that the mistake that occurred effectively resulted in a strap that had the hallmarks of the fake - croc upper, calf liner. I'm sure that BUSA aren't enjoying the fact that this is an active discussion here, but it could have been one heck of a lot worse with a less understanding buyer and / or a less customer service focused AD.

Figured I'd better bring a happy conclusion to this story.

Initially Jay responded to my WTB thread looking for a 740P strap with the strap he'd received from his AD. On seeing the photos I politely pointed out that the back of the straps were incorrect which was intriguing as it had come from an AD. A few PM's were sent through the forums and that was the start of this thread. A big thanks to JNelson and George at Govbergs for helping sort this out so quickly by PM and for organising a brand new replacement strap for Jay.

Having sorted out the quality control issues, Jay's replacement strap from Govberg's now happily sits on my wrist over here in Australia :-) Was an absolute pleasure doing business with Jay even from the other side of the world, he is a great seller and I'd happily buy from him again.
