I was recently trying to sell my straps. However, one of our members said that it might be fake. I actually bought this from one of our forum sponsors AD. After, I checked with my other breitling strap, and it is indeed different. Please leave your opinions!

I posted my fake on here which was a croc also and it said cuir on the back as yours does and ROFF said crocodile never says cuir it's supposed to be croco or croc I believe, if it is fake it looks like a better fake than mine was mine even came with fake deployment.

Croco strap is always marked "Croco veritable".
740P is 22/20 brown deployant croco strap, but how could you purchase fake croco strap with cuir mark from an AD, I really don't know.

I don't know either and I never purchased any kind of straps from anywhere. When I got the watch and I see the strap and thought it does look different from my other brown crocodile strap but you know I just got it from an AD so it can't be replica. I better call the AD and talk to them about it.

So this strap came on a watch purchased from an AD? Definitely keep us posted as I'm very curious as to how this could happen......

One wonders if they swapped it for a customer as a favour without doing due diligence, so it entered the stock. We'll see.

Very curious, from a forum sponsor, presumably some sort of accident.

To finish this thread off, the strap came from forum sponsor Govberg. When I was made aware of this, I immediately contacted George. He then contacted Breitling and provided them with the original invoice of this strap from BUSA. Breitling did confirm that this is a fake strap. They are sending a replacement to Govberg who will then forward it to Jay. I have no idea how this happened and was offered no explanation.

So it appears as though the fake was sourced from BUSA (or earlier). Maybe a little more focus on internal quality by BUSA rather than wrist slapping ADs is needed - just saying.......

:poke:

Yeah, the fake came directly from BUSA.

Thank goodness the immediate issue is resolved, Justin, but I get the feeling this thread won't close quite yet. Fake strap from the manufacturer's branch? Here we go...
