Recently some delusional sellers have been asking prices out of their minds ridiculous prices for some watches including this one:

One can dream I guess Craig:), the refinished dial makes it valueless as a collectible to me and the price a joke.

Agreed. Been watching TT's this past year and seen a variety of quite a few thousand $$ in the asking prices! Not so surprisingly the higher $$ ones don't sell.

Wow, you could get a JLC Duometre Spherotourbillon, a Zenith Tourbillon, a Breguet Classique Reveil du Tsar and still have change left over for a Sub and GMT ... And a BMW.

Yes you're right sharkman, or you could get one of the 500 Rolex 6062, which are on the market, but you could never get a second Breitling Datora 86-28 in 18 Kt Gold in NOS, not even for 1 million Dollars

:uplaugh:
it might be the only NOS 86-28, granted - but it will not sell for more than 1-1.5% of the listed price (shill bids don't count)
keep dreaming, Michael/Herbert/Sage.
can not find the ROFL smily.

aside from the price

NOS means 'New Old Stock' , New , untouched , put away and forgotten about and that watch is definitely not 'New'

-: it has several watchmakers service marks inside
-: Movement screws show marks so the movement was taken apart a few times (at least once)
-: marks on the rotor that happen when removing the rotor
-: marks on the gold casing / caseback that were mostly removed by polishing

nothing NOS about this watch

absolutely correct, Renè. I was being in my kindest mood today, also with my "valuation" of $4k to$6k - even this is far more than the watch will realistically sell for - but we will see sales, only for the watch to reappear w/ an unrealistic sales price again and again. delusional.

I thought so! I'm listing my unopened 1950 box of Crackerjacks for $1 mil, because, well, you will never find another one will you. :)
