I'm currently wearing my Superocean Abyss 42 on the rubber strap, but I'm going to pick up a bracelet for it at some point in the future. My question is: Will the bracelet work with the flat tipped springbars that come with straps, or am I going to have to hunt down some of the pointy ended springbars that are for bracelet use?

If I'm going to have to find some of the pointy ones.... where is a good place to start looking? I know, someone is going to suggest I go to my local AD, but my "local" AD is 2 hours away, and I'd like to avoid that route.

Just ask your AD to mail them to you, is what I do.

No, the flat-ended strap spring bars are slightly thicker than the pointy-eneded bracelet versions, so they won't fit a bracelet.

As TomP said, just give your AD a call, or you could try your Breitling service centre direct (BUSA, BUK, etc, depending on where you are in the world). BUK have always been good for me in that respect, but I've heard BUSA can be more of a pain sending them out.

I will try that when I get a bracelet. Is there a part number I should request? Or should I just say "the pointy ended springbars for a Superocean 42 bracelet?" LOL

Didn't get a single offer for them, not even lowball.
Should have sold them a few years back.
