I just got a Navi 125th anniversary in the mail today ,and It appears to be losing time, it appears to be off by 1 min after an hour... The watch is New old stock ,and is from 2009, Do you think I need to get it serviced? I am not sure how long the watch has been sitting . Any ideas?

COSC is -4 +6 per day, so your with watch being off by 1 minute per hour, it would definitely seem like it needs looking at.

Well on the face of it it's been sitting for 4 years. Is it from an AD? If so I'd send it in under the warranty I assume came with it.

A minute an hour is a major error, that's not going to be addressed by a simple regulation and implies that there is something more serious going on in the movement. It definitely needs service attention.

The watch doesn't have any warranty left on it, it's dated 8/2009, and was purchased from a independent watch dealer . Damn, I don't want to send it off already. I just got it.

But it's way out of spec. I think you either have to ask for a refund, or to take the hit and have BUSA sort it - or somewhere in between, ie talk to the vendor about the issue to see if you can come to some agreement such as a consideration for having it BUSAd. The dealer presumably have their own warranty and might offer to take it back and sort it, but that's not a road I'd want to go down myself.

Dollars to donuts it's fine. I once used my phone time and freaked out. Then i checked it against the Naval Observatory and no problem. There is an atomic clock app for iPhone called Precise Time that I use now.

Are you guys referring to the stop watch function on the iPhone? If so I use it to time my pieces and serves just fine.

I just did it wrong all together :(. The past hour it's spot on, chalk it up to me being a rusty on the boards.
