New to the boards so thank you for the help.

I found a vintage Breitling that the owner claims is a 1946. The serial number on the back is difficult to read by the picture alone. It is located in Germany and the original owner is too old and sick to answer questions about the watch. I'm having trouble identifying a specific model and estimated price. I plan to see it in person this afternoon.

You guys have any idea?

it is a ref. 178, Venus 170. serial number looks like 677xxx, so 1946 is correct.
hands seem to be replacements.
