Hi guys,

Brought this a while back but never wore it much as it needs winding once a day and is a little slow. But I do like it though, I like the sweep of the seconds hand as it seems to move In 1/5ths of a second.

So my question is does anyone know what model it is? I'm not sure if its small or if its me?! It's about 37mm edge to edge of the bezel. It's marked 21 jewels at 12 o'clock. Nothing on the back to ID it.

Secondly, as its not worth much(I assume) is it worth getting it serviced? If I did want to proceed, does anyone have a link to a decent UK guy?

Nothing from Breitling in this diver watch. Nothing complex for a good watchmaker, common swiss machanical movements and parts are easy to find.
Sicura was a middle range Watch brand , with a factory based in Grenchen . The relationship btw Sicura and Breitling is that Ernst Schneider, the owner of Sicura , bought the rights of the Breitling brand at the end of 1978 , as Willy Breitling was liquidating the assets of his company .
Many eBay sellers try to get a better price of their Sicura by associating the Breitling name

The Sicuras were low-end sport watches. The quality of the chromed cases is poor and the movements are also very low grade. I have a difficult time comparing them with other Swiss-made watches that had better cases and lever-set movements. Still, they are sporty and were marked along with better brands like Breitling, Heuer, Enicar, etc.

Since the current Breitling company only changed its name from Sicura AG in 1993, I think it is fair to call a current Breitling a Sicura. However, it is not at all correct to call a "Sicura" a Breitling. That's just a seller's gag.
