Just received the new Diver Pro III strap and have fitted to my trusty Avenger Seawolf, got to say I really like it.

The lettering is great to see again and the rubber is very comfortable to wear, although I'm sure it will harden with wear as they tend to.

One thing that did surprise me slightly was that the lettering it not all a raised profile, but the BREIT are raised and the LING is into the strap. The B is the most raised and then graduate lower for the REIT.

Obviously as I cut the strap to size, I will lose a letter (or two) and I'm sure if the raised profile letters were all the way down, the clasp would not sit over correctly.

Wasn't expecting to receive it until after Basel but pleased I did.

Sounds great. I'm looking forward to see some pictures. Please post also some pictures where we can see how you "loose" some letters after cutting the strap.

Looks like the Breitling pendulum might be swinging back.

Although not quite as good as the Diver Pro (original) IMHO, it is a great improvement on what was effectively a block of rubber which was the Diver Pro II.

Perhaps the "Buck Rogers" bezel days are numbered

As I understand there will be a tang version available but these will come through a bit slower

I like the idea of the varying heights of text, and definitely like the return to the lettering. Think that I would need to see what it actually looked like cut to length for me though.

I agree, the Diver Pro II is not very fancy. But this simplicity makes it look more elegant and a little less sporty IMO (what I personally like). But I'll certainly will have to take a closer look at the Diver Pro III. It looks promising.

Btw - what do you mean with "Buck Rogers Bezel"? :?:

The 1970s font used on the bezels of the Galactics and in house Chronomats.

I agree pro 2 is elegant and understated, I think the large lettering is a bit too vulgar.

Yes, I suppose when you are wearing something as elegant and understated as say, a Superocean, Chrono Avenger M-1 or Emergency, you would want an equally elegant and understated rubber strap option to compliment it.

I don't disagree with Breitling supplying an "elegant and understated" rubber strap. I think what has annoyed some Breitling owners is that they withdrew the large lettered Diver Pro from the range which left no choice. With the introduction of this version it would appear that choice has been restored.

I am a supporter of each unto his or her own as, it would be a pretty boring world if we all liked the same thing.

I'm sitting looking at my diver 2 on my Blackbird Blacksteel and much preferring it to the lettering.

Looks great, I love that there is a deployment version vs the original that was only tang buckle. The DP 2 is so plain and boring, and the Ocean Racer was just okay: I look forward to replacing both as soon as I can!
