Hi,

I hope some of you experts can help.

I've spent a few weeks absorbing some of your vast knowledge which i appreciate.

Bought a nice '73/74 cosmonaute (14269??) has a few marks but nothing i wasn't expecting. bought originally from Wakemanns, has a personal inscription on the case which i took into account. Breitling papers from 1980 service.

Seller didn't post a full picture of the case back due to serial no. etc.

On receipt its has 806 rather than 809 stamped on the back, has anyone seen this or do you think its been swapped at some point. dial and case look legit.

Would like to know as I've paid a decent amount and would rather return it than be disappointed with a case back that has been swapped at some point

Has a nice golden patina on outer and sub dials that hasn't shown up on the pictures

Any comments appreciated, thanks.

The early (1961) Cossies had 806 reference numbers according to some sources, although I'm not sure that I believe in the 1961 806 Cossie, and this certainly doesn't have the right dial for one of those. Can we see pictures of caseback and movement?

It would seem that it has not got it's original case back, it looks late 60's so i would expect an earlier serial number and 809 model number.
