I was just wanting to find out what a fair price is for a A17390 Steelfish. One that has all boxes and paperwork. Condition about 95. I see alot of sellers on epay, whoops, ebay asking $2500.00 to $3,000.00. That seems a bit high to me. Any thoughts?

Way too high. 1800-2000 depending on condition. $2500 may have been full retail price when it was bought!

If you are using eBay as a guide look at the green completed item prices (the ones that actually sold).

if u have an iphone/ipad, the ebay app is even better, as it displays accepted best offer prices, that the website does not show.

interestingly it only shows them in the search list, not on the listing page. might be a bug, but has been around for some time.
the apps also allow selecting only sold items (even more useful), though this has been added on ebay.com too, other sites might follow.

Ebay.com doesn't show what the accepted best offer price was on a closed item anymore. However, Ebay.ca does still show the winning amount.

Agree with your price assessment, but as to new retail, I bought my SF new with what I thought was a good discount in 2011. This was just days before a price incease (I was told) and not too much before they announced they would quit making making the SF. My price on bracelet was more than $2500. Perhaps you are referencing the head only? I don't recall retail price on head and bracelet specifically, but I know they were priced that way and the total was over $3K.

OP, a lot of watch for ~2K. Good luck.

Great watch, but more interested in the time machine; where did you get it? So in 2020 they make the SteelFish again, or that is the price of a vintage one in the future? Nice to know they hold their value.

eBay might be a little higher because these sellers have to put into account the fees they have to pay.

I think he's stolen Fred's and gone forward instead.

What makes me happiest is that the SOSF is going to make a comeback within the next 7 years!

When initially introduced, the US retail on bracelet was right about $2500. By 2010 it was right about $2900 and then after the second price bump in 12 months it was up to right about $3k in 2011. It just depends when it was bought, but during most of that time buyers were routinely getting 25% off, and frequently 1/3 off retail. The good old days...............
