When I first saw that run through the auction I thought someone had installed a plastic model Sprint dial in a different case. Very unusual to see a blue dial Breitling from this era in a gold case.

Definitely unusual, but case looks correct so if it is a hybrid then it seems to still be all Breitling parts. I also think that it looks very sharp - great looking piece if it is right.

Case will be GP with the SS back presumably.

quite interesting, really. seller messaged me the numbers engraved on the caseback,
ref. is 2051, in line w/ the Sprint range; serial no. 1437xxx dates it to 1975.

Hmmm. Maybe that isn't a gold case like I first thought. Must be the tint on the picture. Here's a better set of pics of an identical watch.
