Firstly, would like to say hello to all in this forum!

I am a new owner of a Breitling Chronomat watch! I am an Aussie travelling around Europe and saw this spectacular watch in the display window of an AD in Paris.

After a great lunch, and after a "couple" of glasses of wine, I decided to buy the watch.

I am yet to post pictures, but could some clarify something for me? The sales assistant explained to me that the colour of the dial was anthracite grey... but after doing some research on this site, it seems I have bought a rhodium dial.....regardless of what it is, I love it!

She told me it was a "new release".... is the rhodium dial classed as a new realease by Breitling?

Well congratulations and welcome!!

The rhodium colour is a new one for the Chronomat (and indeed for Breitling) this year. The watch itself is not new, but there have been a few new combinations added (including all steel and roman numerals which it sounds like you have).

Welcome, and congratulations on the Chronomat!

I really wish they had done the roman numerals for the red version too... Looking forward to your pics later on!

I'm a firm believer that a 'couple' drinks should always be consumed when making purchase decisions.

Hear, hear! It always makes it go down easier. A nice buzz and a new Breitling? Does it get any better?

I actually almost bought a slate Skyland in Vegas like that. I was up about $1500 and found my into the dealer. Somehow I made the brilliant decision to go back a play some more to try and win the entire cost. You can figure out the rest.

the rhodium dial seems to change colour too depending on the lighting conditions...... which is nice...sometimes blue, sometimes black, sometimes slate grey.....

my wife is jealous of my new purchase ( :roll: ), so we are going back to the dealer in Paris to look for a Breitling for her.... she likes a big watch.... so I am thinking a Colt Automatic? she def. doesnt like the smaller ladies watches.....

Colt GMT is a bit smaller than the Colt II. Maybe a Superocean Heritage 38?

Yeah, that would have been my suggestion too - my wife has a custom Cockpit Lady that barely sees any wrist time since she got her SOH 38.
