Don't like it - dial very small for the case, model and reference numbers don't seem like they are Breitling style stamping, don't recognise 1252 either.

lot of "creative" energy went into this one, imo.

model reference: ref. 1252 is not listed in any of the known catalogs/flyers (1942/1944/1946) or is there any reference regarding a 1252 in the 1940s "Spare Materials" catalog (merci, Phil !).

serial number 387xxx would date it to the late 1930s - not in line w/ the capitals logo we see, this started to appear in the very early 1950s just before the "Geneve" period.

fake for me.

Ran into this forum trying to identify my own listing on ebay. This watch is selling on consignment and after some thought...I also believe that is is a fake indeed although I did not research this prior to posting it which is definitely my fault. There was no BS intented, just listed a bunch of watches and overlooked this one that came from a customer. we pride ourselves on excellent customer service and perfect ebay feedback and have an A+ BBB accreditation. I have removed this watch from ebay as we NEVER sell fakes or intent to sell fakes.

I think this is a first on this forum! Not only did you find your watch but you then knew it was a fake and took it off ebay. Way to go and WELL DONE!
