Nice looking watch and for $777, who's complaining!

I personally really like Lum-Tec anyway. I used to have an ETA powered tungsten M25, and it was honestly hard to fault. I've long advocated tungsten as a superb watch-making material as it can be polished to a fantastic shine, and is almost impossible to scratch, and while the styling of the M25 was no doubt "inspired" by Panerai, it was sufficiently different to not feel like an homage.

Lum-Tec have suffered in the past from being perhaps a little to homage-based in their styling, but I think that maybe starting to change a little now.

Nice pick-up.

Yes, and you sort of hit on why I like them, because many have that Panerai or Anonimo type look, two brands that have grown on me, but not my first choice for that price range so I'll never own one. Obviously the one I posted is more a typical diver type, but there's just too much I like about it not to give it a shot.

Where the brand loses me is the square case autos, and all quartz models, but it's not like I was going to buy everything I see anyway, so if they can come up with one decent automatic per year for a grand or under, I'd definitely consider it. That said, because I do like these chances are what they offer next that's different I probably won't like as much, but that's just how it goes.
