This is a little after the fact, but I just purchased this last night. It is shipping out today. I will get it authenticated at my AD tomorrow when I receive it, but I'm anxious.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/111015536842?ss ... 1439.l2649

It looks legitimate to me.

Thanks for the help!

Thank you! I'm still going to have it authenticated but at least I will sleep well tonight.

I'm planning on having the dial changed to a different color when I send it in for service. It's been years since I've had a Breitling so I'm very excited.

Well I took it to my Houston AD to have an extra link I ordered from Breitling installed. When I asked if they could open the back up to double confirm it's legitimate they looked at me funny. They said only Breitling can do that. I thought that was weird as it's common place to have an AD verify authenticity. They installed the links and didn't raise any alarms so I'm assuming it's the real deal. I just can't shake the shadow of a doubt that it's not legitimate. It looks right, it feels right, but until I see the movement I'm not sure I'll be convinced. I've been searching the web to compare and there are some VERY good replicas with all of the markings. Hopefully I can find a dealer who will open it up and check. One things is for certain, this is the same watch from the pictures I shared here.

the movement is BY FAR the easiest part of this watch to fake.

It did have an authentic Breitling movement when it left the factory, no doubt; and no doubt the watch case, dial, hands and bracelet are authentic - some very reliable voices have confirmed that in this thread, with a combined knowledge most probably no AD can match.

Now, if you insist on having lingering doubts - somebody could have swapped the authentic movement with a vanilla 7750 or even a fake 7750 from China; but ......

Exactly. Chill, bigdawg. You can have no more reassurance than the collective voices in this thread.

Thanks guys! My business paranoia creeps into other parts of my life every now and then. Thanks for the double assurance.

Real as previously said. It doesn't matter that the AD staff didn't take the back off as I very much doubt they would be able to tell the difference from a real Breitling/Valjoux movement and a Chinese clone.
