Hi guy's,

Grateful for a pointer in the right direction. My 1806 is being serviced by Craig (Chronodeco) and I would like to try and find an original if possible black plug for the right hand crown position.

What are my chances of getting one? Craig has made up a temporary solution which is great, but I just want to see if there is any chance of finding one with the correct profile?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers

Paul.

afraid you will have to be patient until - quite unlikely - one pops up in one of those parts bin sales in the bay, assume u have tried Lester Harrison as suggested ?

the temporary solution might become permanent, but it looks fine.

Yep, I have seen bad and really bad versions of this fix before, usually of the home made variety . Your one though looks pretty good indeed. Craig's a magician.

I think Fred is right, you can spend a lot of time waiting for one not to come up for sale. This one though looks pretty near the original.

Great effort.
