When I run the chrono on my navi world for any extended period of time my watch slows down a lot. About a few mins every couple of hours. Is this normal?

Not at all. The chrono will affect rate and power reserve, but a few minutes every couple of hours is ridiculous - it should still be COSC.

That's gotta be disappointing. BUSA was good, albeit not very communicative, when I sent a watch in. Just took forever. At least you get one (and a great one) back.

Ya I let my chrono run for at least 12 hours once every week. I have done that several times and so far despite the chrono running the time will still run within COSC specs after that.

Hope it stays that way for ya. I can do without for a couple months - it's the nightmare return scenarios we read about, like Sergio's, that I hope to avoid.

I was afraid that was a issue. I was hopping I would not have to send it to BUSA, but looks like I won't be able to avoid that. Hope it all goes smooth for you, keep us updated and let us know how it goes.

This stinks, Tom. It seems that many of our regulars had issues with their 01 movement. I was lucky to have a "good" one, but didn't own it long enough to test it much.

Good luck with sorting this out.

Recently I sent in my navi 01 LE for losing 10 sec per day and whenever I turn on my chronograph hour and minute hand won't go together. After 5 weeks later I got my watch back and 3 days straight I wore and each day it gained 4 sec and next day I wore my datora and on 5th day I checked my watch and lost 20 sec so I was like this is unusual but I thought it will gain again cause I saw its gaining 4 sec per day so I wore on 5th day and turned on my chronograph to check on my hour and minute hand for about 6 hours and they were fine so I reset to zero but hour hand reset at 11'o clock and I turned on again for couple of hours but every time I reset it goes further and further away from 12'o clock so on 6th day I sent it back to BUSA.... Hopefully they'll fix it right this time!!!

Sorry to hear that...U rarely use your Chronograph do u? Maybe BUSA didn't check your chronograph the last time u sent it in.... From what I have read so far, seems like BUSA always can't seem to resolve issues. Either they solve one but another issue arises or they never resolve the issue at all. Need to send the watchmakers for a recourse I think... :guns: Hope that they will get it right this time.

All the best Sharkman and FULL_LING2012....Keep us updated...If BUSA still cannot resolve your issues we can discuss whether to write a petition to send the watchmakers in BUSA for a recourse... :guns:

Yes I rarely use my chronograph and I was surprised when that happend because before I sent it in it wasn't like that hopefully they'll fix both of the issues this time so i can enjoy my watch without sending in for next 5 years

There have been a number of members reporting different types of issues with the Cal 01 movements.
Perhaps it could be worthwhile creating a thread where all the symptoms are consolidate in one place together with simple "test instructions" for each symptom for other members with 01 movements to help in detecting if their watch might have a hidden problem or not that they are not aware of yet. Sharkman's recent finding is a perfect example.
How many owners are actually running their Chronos for several hours?
Lastly it could be provided to Breitling Service Centres as a reference for their QC which they could use when testing for "known problems" before returning the watch to their customers ;-)
Although I am not sure if Breitling would approve of such initiative and admin would probably end up with a polite letter from their legal eagles to pull the thread down ;-)

Yeah for now I'll hope I am one of the lucky ones. There are so many threads here about problems with the 01 but worse, ineffective repair and multiple trips back to BUSA. This thread contains just a fraction of them. For now I'll just hope they are sorting things out and give BUSA the benefit of the doubt. I'll likely wait about a month and simply not use the chrono, which I otherwise do rather frequently. And I will include a link to this thread. Can't hurt. And I can understand, I guess, problems with a new Caliber, but not the multiple trips back to the Spa at Hanger 7. Sergio's is a perfect example. One problem - running the chrono stops the entire watch, like my issue. He sends it in for that very specific problem and gets it back still suffering from that same very specific problem. Hard to fathom.

As an update, I took my Navi 01 LE off last night a precisely 10pm, started the chrono and set it down. Just now checked it and the watch stopped at approx 10:30pm. Reset the chrono and the watch starts right up. I don't want to be one of those whiney, bitchy types, maybe it's too late :) , but on the bracelet this is about a $9,000 watch retail, similar to the guys wearing Chronomat 01s on bracelet. BUSA should be paying extra attention to these when they come pouring in, especially because it is the brands new flagship manufacture movement.

I'm still optimistic. What choice do I have? If it comes back promptly and truly resolved, I will start a thread called "Hallelujah BUSA!" And if not................

There's the rub. Potential buyers will often hit the net to check for this kind of issue, and I shudder to think how many may already have been deterred from the 01.

Best of luck with it Sharkman, fingers are crossed.
