Hi all,

A quick one for you all.......
I am in possession of 2 Black Pro 1 rubber straps. Both bought from sources where I had no reasons to question the authenticity.

I have noticed quite a few differences between them and up till now, never had any reason at all to doubt their authenticity. Does anyone know if Breitling actually produced different versions of this strap, perhaps an original and an updated one?

Can you assist?

I have taken some shots of the straps side by side and these are the differences that I have noted;
- Much deeper 'Breitling' writing on one strap
- Different 'tail' shape on the longer piece
- The cross grooves on the back of the strap are different - on one strap they cut right through the edges, whilst on the other they stop short of the edges
- The holes appear very slightly different on the back of the strap
- The writing for the 'CAOUTCHOUC' on the back is in very slightly different font
- One has the reference '120S' - whilst I have seen many, many of these straps without that reference

Both straps wear exactly as comfortable as each other, they have exactly the same flexibility and suppleness.

As mentioned, until now, I have never had any reason to question the authenticity.

Can't say for sure but going out on a limb here!

Both look ok to me, only issue is different variants of the strap.

Pluses are both look ok, both "feel" ok and both were purchased from this forum!

Lets see how this pans out.

Both look gen to me.

So then, would seem that Breitling did produce a couple of designs of this strap.

I think they had more than one company produce the straps hence the difference but Id say the one with 20s on it is the latter vesion, I have had the same straps and they are deffo both genuine.

I have the one with the more tapered end and thicker Breitling text. It looks exactly the same as yours, with the same oddly non-matching reference panels/markings on the reverse. I got it on this forum from a trustworthy seller so have no concerns at all. I too had noticed the differences and assumed there was more than one version. My one is the older one I think.
