Seeing and reading about all the Breitling SWAG out there got me to wondering is it the higher dollar watches that drive the "nicer" items or is it the number of watches you have bought or perhaps some combination? I've bought two new Breitlings and got two hats. Neither watch was very high up the food chain so not at all surprised I did not get any big ticket item either time...but I did like my second hat a lot more than the first. Blue with orange trim looks so much more Breitling-esque than black with white trim.

Also is there any rhyme or reason to when the send them out? I got my first one after about 2 months and the 2nd about a year later. I figured they dropped the ball or forgot on the second one. I do realize things are different in different parts of the World so guess I am wondering about others U.S. experience.

Did the hats arrive somewhere close to your birthday?
I know that they send the SWAG out on your birthday in some countries.

Don't know the reasoning behind the swag distribution. I first got a couple of hats, then a pocket knife, a pen next, etc. Probably has to do with the dollar amounts spent on individual pieces (?).

I do know of one lucky soul who got a pair of pink boxer shorts, WOW, he must be a special customer  .

Oh, he is. Was on a tear for a while. Personally, I'm cool with my black cap and pre-owneds. Wouldn't mind getting a copy of "the book" someday, though.

No; SWAG not related to b-day. My b-day is in November and first hat came around 2 months after purchase in January. Second hat came just this week  but bought the watch in FEB of 2012...almost as if one year anniversary present of watch purchase.

Hopefully my used quest will pan out this week and no need to concern myself with SWAG thoughts. Totally unrelated but my new Omega purchase came with very usable toiletry bag on day of purchase from AD and said AD has sent even me more Omega SWAG since. Feeling the love from Omega! :cheer:

I too have read about the pink boxers...very special.

Is this just a Breitling US thing or worldwide?

Different from what I understand. In the UK (I think) they give the dealers the hats/etc. and it is up to them to give them to you. I have read reports of others (Canada, maybe?) that don't get anything. For sure in the U.S. it comes from Breitling USA, not the AD.

Other way about. Canada sends to ADs, UK doesn't do anything. It's because it isn't a Breitling 'thing' but managed by rregional distributors.

For my first purchase I received a hat about 2 months after my purchase, but my second purchase I was given a really nice wallet.

After living in the UK for about 1.5 years now, this makes soooooooooo much more sense now. The level of customer service between the US and UK couldn't be farther apart; apparently it doesn't matter if a $5,000+ watch is involved in the equation or not.

I mean no offense to my British brethren. Trust me, I'm slowly becoming assimilated. I even have British license plates on my US-spec Land Rover. Talk about confusing the locals . . .

Yes it's a crying shame. I had three Breitling purchases from my local AD and it wasnt until I went in to order a strap that I was gifted a hat. Still, one has to be grateful.

I got my old steel fish from Andrew michaels and they gave me a hat, lanyard and ear plugs at the time of sale. So you do get some swag in the UK if you go to the right dealer . Plus they are really great to deal with which was a bonus

Bought my first purchase from Andrew. A B-1 Vulcan Limited edition complete with UTC on Fighter bracelet. Also my Ti UTC on Pro 1 for my Emergency.

Gifts...nada.

Perhaps things have changed these days for the better.
