but I think the Chronomat on Richter page 104 is an "800" with "Duograph." I'm guessing it's made closer to 1950 than 1946.

I was thinking that maybe whoever restored the watch used Richter as a guideline, hence the 11 instead of the 1...

yes, it is a rattrapante version, Bill, but Richter shows this as a ref. 801 too ?

would also love to know the production date of that piece in The Book, interesting that it has the capitals logo, but pre-Geneve.

what do you think about the TZ piece, is that dial original ? I assume the 800/801s were produced in miniscule quantities, maybe even specifically according to the buyer's request. so we see no "mass production" standardization ?

On the one in The Book, the caption says it's 1949 and I'm inclined to think it probably has a redone dial.

For the one in vintage collection at TZ (where is that collection now?), I would lean strongly to it being redone, too. In staring at it just now, I see that it has marked "Swiss T", which would not occur on a dial until the mid-1950s and a dial with luminous hands, like the 806.

In both cases, it would be valuable to know who did the paint job. Both are excellent restorations.
