Hi everyone,

I have a question on a model. Was there a Breitling for Rolls Royce edition model around 2003? Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Sure was. Montbrillant 1903 Chronograph made for National Aviation Hall Of Fame in 2003. Only 30 made. Recipients included Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Robin Olds.

One came up for auction a few years ago and sold for $10,157.50. Info can be found here.

I'd forgotten about that one. That was a pretty healthy sale price.

Seems to me they are always giving stuff away to people that could afford to buy them in the first place
Well maybe not my heroes  Niel, Buzz and Olds, but I doubt Travolta or Beckham payed for their watches!

I met Robin Olds in the flight simulator at Luke AFB, AZ around 1971. Had a way out of reg handlebar mustache but a great guy and a real Steve Canyon type. (You young guys will have to Google Steve Canyon.)

Thanks for the information. Someone was telling me about it and they had one. From the picture they showed me, I wasn't sure if it was real. Maybe I will have a change to see it in person.

Thanks for your help!
