I tried the carnauba wax last night after polishing my ling. I was a bit nervous at first, but it turned out great. Water beads up and rolls off just as it would on the hood of your car. Thanks for the tip. Is there any specific type of field glaze you use and does it have to have carnauba in it as well.

Thanks for your idea! I'll have to try it.

I don't think your nuts. I am as nutty as you, as I do the same thing. I prefer, 'Moderately Obsessed' as a descriptor.

I don't use the same products as you guys, but I do polish my watches with a cream wax. I use a ph neutral polish like many museums do.

Can anyone tell me the composition of Zymol. I assume its a carnauba wax, but what else is in it?

Jim

Zymol has multiple waxes. Their original is 1/3 carnauba and some products are up to 80%. Other ingredients include polymers/silicones, and a mix of numerous oils.
